What is the weather in Munich, Germany during Star Club?

In August, Munich typically enjoys pleasant summer weather. During the Star Club event from 18 August to 22 August 2025, temperatures are expected to range from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). The days are likely to be warm and sunny, with occasional chances of rain. Bring light clothing and a jacket for cooler evenings or unexpected showers.

Can I extend my trip?

Yes, you may but all expenses outside of the Star Club 2025 Munich convention dates will be on your own. Your selection in Phase 1 Registration should be the Fly Your Own (FYO) option.

Can I bring a family member or friend along? Any age restrictions?

Yes, an Accompanying Person (AP) package is available for purchase during Phase 2 Registration. For more information, please click here.

My friend is a Financial Representatives or One Agency Leader of Prudential but not a SC qualifier. Can I bring him/her along as an AP? 

Non-qualifying One Agency Leaders and Financial Representatives are not eligible to attend as Accompanying Person (AP), except where the One Agency Leaders or Financial Representative is a spouse of the qualifier.

Is there a maximum number of Accompanying Person (AP) I can bring along?

There is no maximum number of Accompanying Person (AP) packages you can purchase.

What happens if I need to cancel my trip due to urgent matters? 

Please refer to the cancellation policy here and write to Global Travel ([email protected]), PRU Events Team ([email protected]) and your respective BDM. Do note that cancellation fees may apply. 

Are there reimbursements for any on-site expenses incurred during the trip? E.g., entertainment, land transport, hotel mini bar, etc.?

No. All personal on-site expenses during the trip are fully borne by the individuals. 

Can I travel if I am pregnant? 

Before registering for the convention, please obtain a doctor’s official memo that you are fit to travel, and email it to Global Travel ([email protected]), PRU Events Team ([email protected]) and your respective BDM.

What is the rooming arrangement?

All qualifiers are entitled to half twin sharing room accommodation, and you will be allowed to choose your own roommate. If you are travelling solo, you can also opt for Prudential to assign you a roommate.  

Am I entitled to Single Room?

You are entitled to a Single Supplement room if you are either a:

  • Pioneers
  • Group Financial Services Director (GFSD)
  • Senior Financial Services Director (SFSD)
  • Senior Executive Wealth Director (SEWD)*
  • LSPA 2024 30th Anniversary Recipient 

*SEWD Branch Leaders will not be eligible for the upgrade to Single Room if they did not hold the rank of SFSD or GFSD right before the cross-over to PFA. The Branch Leader will attain this benefit when he/she achieves the Branch Formation Criteria stated in the appointment standards and continues to maintain the rank of SEWD.
 

Am I invited to Dinner for the Stars (DFTS)?

Only Group Financial Services Director (GFSD), Senior Financial Services Director (SFSD), Senior Executive Wealth Director (SEWD)*, Master Financial Consultant (MFC), Senior Executive Wealth Manager (SEWM), Pioneers and their spouse qualifiers/APs are invited to DFTS.

*SEWD Branch Leaders will not be eligible for DFTS if they did not hold the rank of SFSD or GFSD right before the cross-over to PFA. The Branch Leader will attain this benefit when he/she achieves the Branch Formation Criteria stated in the appointment standards and continues to maintain the rank of SEWD. 

What documentation will I require prior to Pre-departure for Singapore?
  • Passport with at least six (6) months of validity from your date of departure.
  • It is advisable to register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) system, a voluntary and free service provided to all Singapore Citizens who travel or reside overseas. The e-registration system allows you to record information about your travel itinerary abroad, allowing MFA to contact you in times of crisis to certify your safety, and if need be, assist you should an emergency arises.
  • Submission of SG Arrival Card within 3 days prior to date of arrival in Singapore.
Am I required to apply for visa to travel to Munich, Germany?

Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan nationalities do not require a visa to Germany

Passport holders of Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam require to apply for a Schengen visa before travelling to Germany.

Visa fees is chargeable at €125 which is approximately S$187.

We highly recommend you to apply for the visa once you have completed Phrase 2 registration.

What is covered in the travel insurance that Prudential is covering for this trip?

A standard travel insurance is provided for the convention period only. 

More information of the travel insurance coverage and policy document will be provided in June 2025. 

If I were to extend my trip, can I pay for the difference in insurance covered?

No, you need to purchase your own travel insurance for the entire duration if you are extending your trip.

If you are planning a pre/post trip, ensure that your travel insurance covers the entire duration of your trip. There will be no reimbursement from PACS for the insurance coverage.

Are we allowed to book our own flights?

Yes, you are allowed to book your own flights if you have selected the Fly Your Own (FYO) option during Phase 1 Registration Exercise. Please note that the reimbursement of S$1,600 (taxable) will only be paid out after the event, provided you attend all Star Club 2025 official activities (applicable to you only) and with proof of your flight e-ticket submitted. Please submit your flight e-tickets to Global Travel ([email protected]) by Friday, 18 July 2025.

Can we upgrade our flights using miles or cash? If yes, how can we do so?

Flight upgrades are not applicable to those who have chosen Option 1 (Group Seats). If you have chosen Option 2 (FYO) and purchasing on your own, please contact the airline directly.

I would like to extend my trip to another region/country. How do we go about with this arrangement?

You can book your travel arrangement either on your own or with Global Travel if you have chosen Option 2 (FYO) during Phase 1 Registration Exercise. 

What is the procedure if I miss my flight?

Please contact Global Travel at +65 6398 3684 (Aster), +65 6398 3688 (Jennyll) or email [email protected] for alternative travel plan. You may need to incur additional cost for a new ticket and claim with the insurance provider.

I have to make changes to the flight arrangement (as part of group booking) due to urgent matters. Are there any charges that I will incur?

Please contact Global Travel at +65 6398 3684 (Aster), +65 6398 3688 (Jennyll) or email [email protected] for alternative travel plan. You may need to incur additional cost for new ticket and claim with the insurance provider.

Can I earn miles if I book with the group seats?

The mileage accrual is 50% of ticket price on Singapore Airlines flights.

What is the reimbursement amount and when will it be issued?

Flight reimbursement of S$1,600 (taxable) will only be paid out after the event, provided you attend all Star Club 2025 official activities (applicable to you only) and with proof of your flight e-ticket submitted. Please submit your flight e-tickets to Global Travel ([email protected]) by Friday, 18 July 2025. It will be credited to you after the Star Club 2025 Convention trip. 

I have decided not to book via FYO, can I switch to Group Seats?

No, as Phase 1 Registration is a binding exercise, and changes are not allowed.

What is the information that is required before Registration Phase 2 starts?

Ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months.

If I extended my trip, how do I get to the hotel?

If your arrival or departure flight coincides with Prudential’s group flights on 18 or 22 August, you can register to be on the group coach. Please inform Global Travel ([email protected]) with your flight details. 

Otherwise, please make your own arrangements to/from the airport/hotel where the costs will be borne by the individual.

Where will I be staying in Munich, Germany?

The Official Hotel for Star Club 2025 is The Westin Grand.  Please note that room/floor assignments are solely based on room availability and cannot be chosen by individuals.

Can I arrange to stay in other hotels in Munich, Germany due to personal preferences or membership?

No. Attendees are required to stay at the Official Hotel during the convention period.

I would like to upgrade to a Single room. Can this arrangement be made?

Yes, registrants need to indicate their option during Phase 2 Registration, and they will be contacted individually (subject to room availability). Click here for more information.

Are my family member/friend included in the planned activities?

Yes, only if they have purchased the Accompanying Person (AP) Package. 

I have purchased an Accompanying Person (AP) Package; am I allowed to bring them to the planned activities?

Yes, all APs are included in the planned activities in which the qualifiers are entitled to. However, due to the celebratory tone of our dinner events during which alcohol will be served, we do not allow any persons under the age of 21 for the official programme, even if they are under our AP package. If required, childcare services can be arranged with the hotel (fees may apply). 

Is attendance and participation for Team Activity mandatory?

Yes, attendance and participation in the Team Activity are mandatory. There will be a penalty of S$300 charged to you, if you are unable to attend. Cancellation fee will be waived only with a valid reason and approved by Management. What is the dress code for Dinner for the Stars?

Is there any encashment if I choose not to participate in the Team Activity?

No, there will not be encashment as this is a mandatory event.  

Do qualifiers have the option for encashment?

Yes, qualifiers for Star Club 2025 Munich will have the option for encashment, with the exception of First Time Qualifiers (FTQ).

How much is the encashment and when will it be paid out?

A sum of S$4,000 (taxable) will be paid after the convention.

I have indicated in Phase 1 Registration that I will be going for Star Club 2025 Munich, but now, I want to switch to encashment. Is this possible?

No. As Phase 1 Registration is a binding exercise, changes are not allowed. Cancellation fees will apply. Please reach out to your respective BDM if you have queries.
